Safety Data Sheets / Testing Certificates

The .GLASMA - coating is.. no foil.. and ..no paint..!

P & P Handels und Service GmbH .are makers of the .GLASMA - coating .system .
They have the relevant Safety Data Sheets which apply to all testing results and approvals .

We have observed other parties trying to imitate .GLASMA - coating .systems which

• are similar in appearance - but which do not by far have the claimed properties,
• nor have they passed the relevant testing procedures or gained the approvals which .GLASMA . have..

Safety data sheets .supplied have to relate to the .specific product name .and the .manufacturer .

Equally, .testing and approval certificates. supplied

• have to. relate to the specific .product name .and the relevant .safety data sheets
• as well as the .company marketing. the product ! - This goes especially for .fire_-_resistant glass !

We encourage interested parties to ask for proof of .claimed properties ,
e.g. as made in .brochures , in .offers. etc. regarding the properties of a particular product such as
• "resistant to ultraviolet light or to moisture ... easy to disinfect ... approved for use in fire-resistant
..glass elements" ... etc..

Such proof should comprise a certificate .with .the relevant up-to-date .safety data sheets. on the claims made in respect to the offered product !

If a product X is offered or made, then the
• safety data sheets .have to relate to this particular product X
• as well as to the .manufacturer's name .

The same goes for certificates:
• they are only .valid .in connection with the relevant .up-to-date safety data sheets..

This is the only way in which to guarantee that the same materials are being used that have previously been certified..

Otherwise what can happen is that
• today .this material is being used,
• tomorrow .another and
• the day after. possibly a mix of both.!

The same goes for .paint additives. - .hardeners. - .cleaning agents. - .thinners..
• A manufacturer has to be able to provide .safety data sheet_ for all these processing materials., too..
• It is not obvious to the naked eye what the materials contain !
• This is especially true for products from abroad containing ingredients which have .not .been approved in Germany !

Safety data sheets .will tell you about the properties of the material that is being used, for example,

• if .unapproved .additives have been used
• which may be .harmful to the environment or to people's health .

Safety data sheets are also indispensable for materials which are being used .on location ,
including their relevant .processing materials !

In .case of doubt .or .discrepancies., the relevant .inspectorate. can and
should be consulted with a view to testing the product in question..
This can help to prevent consequential damage !

A WORD OF CAUTION :

• Approvals e.g. for fire.-.resistant glass elements can be revoked !
• Approval of a building can be withheld !
